The City of Johannesburg is inviting investors to a briefing on January 12 to find out more about its plans to release properties for development.
The council is taking proposals for developing buildings in the inner city, which is a key focus area of Mayor Herman Mashaba.
Twelve buildings have already been released, said Jabulile Buthelezi, stakeholder manager for the MMC of economic development. The deadline for proposals for the batch of 12 buildings is January next year.
Seventy more buildings will be released in different stages, Buthelezi said.
“It forms part of our overall strategy in light of driving the economy towards our set target and enhancing the property market,” Buthelezi told TMTV.
